When replacing the ink cartridge, follow the Ink

Maintenance instructions on page 32 to ensure that

the ink from the new cartridge is pumped into the

printhead.

Always keep three fresh AAA batteries in the meter

to ensure proper auto-maintenance is performed.

Alkaline batteries are recommended.

Keep the meter plugged in while you change the

batteries so the date setting is maintained.

Lift the meter cover.

Remove the battery cover, located near the printer

cable, by lifting up on the two tabs.

Remove old batteries by first removing the battery

on the right. Then slide the other

batteries to the right and lift them out.
